Day 1: Fortaleza de Kuélap
10:00 a.m. Departure from Chachapoyas to the town of Nuevo Tingo (approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes). There will be a brief stop to arrange lunch orders.
We will then board the Kuélap cable car (approximately 20 minutes), enjoying beautiful Andean–Amazonian landscapes.
Upon arrival at the archaeological complex, we will have a guided tour of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, during which the guide will explain everything related to this important ceremonial center of the Chachapoyas culture. Its impressive stone walls, reaching up to 20 meters (65 feet) high, protect more than 500 circular structures.
After the visit, we return to Nuevo Tingo to enjoy a delicious lunch.
5:30 p.m. Arrival in Chachapoyas.
Overnight stay.
Day 2: Caverna de Quiocta & Sarcófagos de Karajía
9:00 a.m. Departure to the district of Lamud (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes). There will be a stop to arrange lunch orders.
Afterward, we will head to Quiocta Cave, where we will observe an impressive variety of stalactites, stalagmites, and ancient bone remains.
Return to Lamud to enjoy a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, departure to the village of Cruzpata (approximately 30 minutes). From there, we will begin the walk to the Sarcophagi of Karajía, a unique funerary pattern in the world, located on inaccessible cliffs where the mummified remains of the most important rulers of the Chachapoyas culture were placed.
6:00 p.m. Arrival in Chachapoyas.
Day 3: Catarata de Gocta
9:00 a.m. Departure to the district of Cocachimba. There will be a short stop to arrange lunch orders and purchase entrance tickets.
From there, we begin an approximately 2-hour hike to reach the second drop of Gocta Waterfall. Horses are available for rent as an optional alternative.
During the visit, the guide will share local legends and stories, and there will be time for photos while enjoying the impressive natural surroundings, rich in flora and fauna (orchids, birds, butterflies, and more).
After the visit, return to the village for lunch.
5:30 p.m. Arrival in Chachapoyas.
