Accompanied by our guide, we will hike along Minoan trails to Kastro, a fortress high in the mountains that is many thousands of years old. Once-in-a-lifetime views of Mirabello Bay and the surrounding mountain ranges, as well as the ancient terraces of Crete's “Machu Picchu.” The hike to the archaeological site takes approximately 2 hours. On the mountain, we will enjoy the view, learn a lot about the past, and refuel for the descent with a trail snack. We strongly recommend wearing sensible shoes; a medium level of fitness is required. Not recommended for children under 10 years.
