Take a short hike from Moni Kaisarianis (Kaisariani Monastery) on Mount Hymettus for a peaceful escape into nature, just 15–20 minutes from central Athens. The area features a network of shaded trails through pine and cypress forests, connecting historical sites like the 11th-century monastery, the 5th-century Basilica of Agios Markos, and the chapel of Taxiarches.

Follow a popular short loop, Trail 10, a 1.7 km route suitable for all ages, leading to Taxiarches Hill with panoramic city views. For a longer hike, the Botanical Walk continues to Kalopoula Kiosk, a mountain refreshment spot offering drinks and snacks or even on the summit. The trails are well-marked, making this an ideal destination for a serene hike.
