Capture the soul of the street

Street photography goes beyond taking pictures on the street. It is the art of waiting for the ordinary to become extraordinary. It means capturing the beating soul of a city through a stolen gesture, a fleeting glance or a perfect geometry between man and architecture.

In this 3-hour itinerant workshop, we will learn to sense the most authentic vibes of Venice, letting ourselves be guided by the flow of the city to anticipate the perfect moment. Together, we will train our eyes to ignore the monuments and focus on the power of dramatic shadows, the magic of reflections in the canals and those small details that make every moment unique.

What we will explore together

The Invisible Approach: How to move around on the street and photograph people without being intrusive or causing embarrassment.
The Instinct of the Moment: Learn to "anticipate" the action before it happens so you never miss the shot.
Urban Geometries: Using architecture as a frame for human subjects.
“Street” settings: How to set up your camera (or smartphone) to be ready in less than a second.
Ethics and Privacy: What you can photograph and how to manage your relationship with subjects in public.

How the Workshop Will Be Conducted

Briefing & Mindset: We'll meet to talk about "vision." Before turning on the camera, we need to train our eyes.
Urban Foray: We will explore the liveliest parts of the city (markets, squares, narrow alleys) while putting dynamic composition techniques into practice.
Ongoing Support: You will be guided step by step, helping you to overcome your shyness and improve your technique in the field.
Wrap-up & Analysis: A final discussion to analyze together the “stories” captured during the morning

Who can participate?

Anyone who has the curiosity to tell a story. Whether you have a state-of-the-art mirrorless camera or a smartphone always in your hand, the rules of street photography don't change.

The group is deliberately small: a maximum of 6 participants, to ensure individual attention and the freedom to move with agility, like a true street photographer.
