We will meet in Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the most vibrant and iconic squares in the city. From there, we will begin our walk through Trastevere, gradually leaving the crowds behind as we head up towards the Gianicolo hill.

As we ascend, the city slowly opens up. At the top, you will experience one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Rome, where the city can be understood as a whole—its layers, its history, and its relationship with the landscape.

We will explore the surroundings of San Pietro in Montorio, where the famous Tempietto by Bramante is located. Here, architecture, history, and meaning come together in a unique space connected to the memory of Saint Peter.

Along the way, we will also discover hidden corners, quiet paths, and one of Rome’s most impressive fountains, part of a historic water system that once supplied the city.

We will then descend back into Trastevere, ending the walk in Piazza Trilussa, where the lively atmosphere of the neighborhood offers the perfect contrast to the calm of the hill.
