Your guide will check weather conditions, cloud cover, road conditions, and aurora forecasts before choosing the best available viewing areas for the night. Depending on conditions, possible stops may include locations along the Ingraham Trail, the Yellowknife River area, Madeline Lake, Pontoon Lake, Prelude Lake, or the Dettah Ice Road when it is seasonally open and safe.

This is an active aurora-hunting experience rather than a fixed-location viewing tour. Your guide may move between different locations when conditions suggest a better opportunity to see the Northern Lights. Because the aurora is a natural phenomenon, sightings can never be guaranteed.
