상품 설명

This award-winning guided tour explores the historic area of Kazimierz—Kraków's Jewish Quarter. Together, we explore one of the oldest original Jewish quarters in Europe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We then visit the former World War Two Jewish Ghetto and discuss the German occupation of Kraków during the Second World War, including the tragic events of the Holocaust.

What you will do:

The tour takes you to the heart of the 700-year-old Jewish Quarter of Krakow, including the World War Two Ghetto.

Kazimierz was the centre of Jewish life in Poland. Wander through its picturesque cobbled streets past historic synagogues and temples and learn how this quaint part of Krakow was forever changed by the Second World War.

What you will see:

You will see the oldest parts of Jewish Quarter Krakow including the Old Synagogue, Poland's oldest Jewish building, as well as the Remuh synagogue and the historic Szeroka Street.

Later we visit the former Krakow ghetto, the Empty Chairs Holocaust memorial, and some original Schindler’s List filming locations.

Finally, you see how Kazimierz is now a revived hub of street food and great restaurants.

What you will learn:

Many visitors to Krakow learn about the Holocaust with a visit to Auschwitz concentration camp, without realising that many of the atrocities happened in the city of Krakow itself. This tour discusses the lesser-known 'Holocaust of bullets' and the events leading up to the liquidation of the Krakow Ghetto in March 1943.

No trip to Krakow is complete without a visit to the Jewish Quarter.
