Rovaniemi: Local Reindeer Farm Visit, Feeding & Sleigh Ride｜Finland

Experience one of Lapland’s most beloved traditions with a visit to a local reindeer farm near Rovaniemi.

Your journey begins at the Book Lapland meeting point in the city center, followed by a short drive of approximately 15 minutes to a peaceful reindeer farm. Upon arrival, you will meet the reindeer and learn how important these gentle Arctic animals are to Lapland’s culture, nature, and way of life.

During the visit, you will have time to feed the reindeer, take memorable photos, and enjoy a traditional reindeer sleigh ride. After the ride, you will receive your own reindeer driving licence — a fun souvenir from your Lapland adventure.

The experience continues indoors, where you can warm up with coffee and local pastries while listening to stories about reindeer life in Lapland. Your guide will share insights into the daily life of reindeer herders, the changing Arctic seasons, and the special bond between people and reindeer in the North.

This easy and family-friendly experience is ideal for guests who want to enjoy an authentic Lapland activity without spending the whole day outside. After the visit, you will be transferred back to Rovaniemi city center.
