Kotatuli farm is set in the peaceful village of Marrasjärvi, 60 km from Rovaniemi and far from the city’s noise. The nearest neighbor is 11 km away, and the final approach follows a narrow forest road, ensuring complete privacy.
Upon arrival, guides welcome guests to the farm and introduce the Kotatuli animals. Visitors meet the farm’s horse herd and help with harnessing before departure. A horse-drawn sleigh ride follows, lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on weather and preferences. The route travels through snowy forest landscapes, accompanied by the steady rhythm of hooves on snow.
The journey ends back at Kotatuli farm, where a warm kota and an open fire await. Inside, hot drinks and snacks are served. After the break, guests can feed the horses some well-earned treats — a memorable way to end the Arctic experience.
