A: The tour includes visits to Korouoma Canyon, Auttiköngäs and Vikaköngäs Rapids, one ride on the Ruka Mountain Coaster, transportation, pickup and drop-off, guiding, BBQ and hot drinks.

Q: Is the Ruka Mountain Coaster included?
A: Yes. One ride is included. The 767-metre coaster reaches up to 40 km/h.

Q: What will we see at Korouoma Canyon?
A: We visit the Korouoma’s main highest & largest frozen-waterfall area and enjoy Arctic scenery and ice formations.

Q: Will we climb the frozen waterfall?
A: No. However, depending on the day and conditions, you may see professional ice climbers climbing the frozen waterfalls at Korouoma Canyon.

Q: When are the waterfalls frozen?
A: Usually from late October to mid-April, depending on weather.

Q: What are Auttiköngäs and Vikaköngäs?
A: Auttiköngäs is a historic Lapland site featuring a dramatic waterfall, a canyon landscape and a former log-transportation area. Vikaköngäs is known for its Arctic rapids, scenic bridge and beautiful riverside views—a picture-perfect place to enjoy the contrast of snow and fast-flowing water.

Q: How difficult is the Korouoma walk?
A: Easy, but it can be slippery during icy conditions. Ice spikes are provided when needed and are included in the tour price for your safety.

Q: Is the tour suitable for children?
A: Yes. Children should be comfortable outdoors for a full day. Riders under 135 cm must follow accompanying-adult rules.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Wear warm, weather-appropriate winter clothing and good outdoor footwear. Conditions at Korouoma, Ruka and the Arctic rapids can be considerably colder than in Rovaniemi.

Q: Is there a queue for ticket or the ride?
A: Your ticket is pre-arranged, but waiting for the ride may still be necessary.

Q: Is pickup from Rovaniemi included?
A: Yes. Free pickup and drop-off within 15 km of Rovaniemi city center are included.

Q: What happens if the Ruka Mountain Coaster is closed?
A: The coaster may occasionally close because of weather, maintenance or safety conditions. If the Ruka Mountain Coaster is closed and the ride cannot be provided, €50 per person will be refunded. The rest of the tour can normally continue if conditions are safe.
