Experience a magical winter day trip from Oulu to the official hometown of Santa Claus in Rovaniemi. This full-day guided tour offers a perfect mix of Christmas spirit, Arctic culture, and flexibility to customize your visit.
Your day begins with a comfortable pickup from your accommodation in Oulu, followed by a scenic 2.5–3 hour drive through the beautiful landscapes of Finnish Lapland. Upon arrival, we head directly to the world-famous Santa Claus Village.

Meet Santa Claus in his official office and cross the Arctic Circle
Visit Santa’s Official Post Office and send postcards with a unique Arctic Circle stamp
Free time to explore the village shops, cafés, and winter atmosphere
Lunch (Optional)
You may enjoy lunch at one of the cozy restaurants in Santa Claus Village. Your guide can assist with recommendations and reservations if needed.
Reindeer Experience (Optional)
You can choose one of the following optional activities, depending on your preference (ticket available separately). Your guide will be happy to help arrange these activities on the spot or in advance.
A short 400 m/800 m reindeer sleigh ride at Santa Claus Village, or A visit to a reindeer farm, where you can meet reindeer, learn about Sámi culture, and warm up by a traditional fireplace
Husky Ride (Optional | 1 December – 5 April)
From 1 December to 5 April, you can also add an exciting 2.5 km husky ride, one of the most popular Arctic experiences.
Optional Visit: Santa’s Pets
You may also choose to visit Santa’s Pets, a small animal park with Arctic and domestic animals (ticket available separately).
After a relaxed and festive day, we begin the return journey to Oulu in the afternoon, arriving back around early evening. You’ll return with unforgettable memories, photos, and the true spirit of Lapland.
