Meet your local host in the main street of San Pedro de Atacama to begin your experience. Head southeast through the desert, taking the scenic route to the hidden lagoons of Baltinache. During the 1-hour drive, see all the rock and salt landscapes that make up the desert, and learn about why this area is believed to have been at the bottom of the ocean millions of years ago.

Walk to the beginning of the track where you can visit all 7 lagoons. Be stunned by the crystal clear waters of the lagoons and wonder how such a thing is possible in the middle of nowhere.

Now, be prepared to bathe and float in the extremely salty water of the Baltinache Lagoons.

Finally, after the tour in the park, return to the center of San Pedro de Atacama, where your memorable tour concludes.

Starting September 29, swimming and floating in the lagoons will no longer be permitted during the Lagunas Escondidas de Baltinache tour.

This restriction is due to maintenance work and the necessary natural regeneration process of the lagoons. The measure aims to allow the ecosystem to complete its natural cycle and preserve its environmental conditions.

This decision is part of the commitment to protecting and conserving natural resources while promoting conscious, responsible, and sustainable tourism.

To complement the experience, we will add a new stop to the tour: the famous Magic Bus, one of the region’s most iconic attractions.
