Oslo: Vettakollen Viewpoint Hike with Drone Footage｜Norway

Meet your guide at Frognerseteren, located high above Oslo and surrounded by the forests of Nordmarka. Begin your walk through the forest, following natural trails towards Vettakollen. Leave the urban environment behind and enter a peaceful landscape of pine and spruce trees, rocks, moss, and small forest clearings.

Enjoy a relaxed pace, allowing you to take in the surroundings, take photographs, and experience the Norwegian concept of friluftsliv — enjoying life outdoors and connecting with nature.

The trail takes you deeper into the forest towards Vettakollen. Along the way, experience the natural landscape that makes the areas surrounding Oslo so special. Depending on the season, the forest can look completely different — from bright green summer vegetation to colorful autumn landscapes and snowy winter trails.

Your guide will make the hike enjoyable and easy-going, while pointing out interesting features of the landscape and sharing local knowledge about Oslo and the surrounding nature. There will be opportunities to stop along the way for photographs and short breaks before continuing towards the viewpoint.

The highlight of the hike is reaching Vettakollen, one of the most famous viewpoints in Oslo. After walking through the forest, the trees suddenly open up and reveal an incredible panorama over the city. From the rocky viewpoint, see Oslo, the Oslo Fjord, the islands of the fjord, and the surrounding forests and hills.

On a clear day, the view is particularly spectacular, creating a perfect opportunity to take photographs and simply enjoy the scenery. Vettakollen is also a favorite spot among locals, giving you the chance to experience a place that is deeply connected to Oslo’s outdoor culture.

To make the experience even more memorable, drone footage is included in the tour. When conditions and local regulations allow, capture aerial footage of the surrounding landscape and your experience on the trail and at the viewpoint. The drone provides a completely different perspective of Vettakollen, Nordmarka, and the Oslo Fjord, creating unique memories of your time in Oslo.

The booking will be canceled and fully refunded if adverse weather conditions or local regulations/conditions make it impossible to capture the drone footage
