Bergen Private Tour: Waterfalls of Hardanger with a Snack｜Norway

Take a scenic drive through the suburbs of Bergen out of the city, where you will pass by the largest inner island in Northern Europe - Osterøy. Your guide will share the stories of the areas you pass as you gradually get onto the curving roads around the tallest mountain that surrounds Bergen - Gullfjellet.

On having passed the famous ski resort in Kvamskogen, stop by the first waterfall and admire the power of the water falling down from the tall mountain.

Then, proceed to the second waterfall, called Bratte. Hike down to see it better and get a good picture for your laptop background.

On having completed the short hike, head to the famous waterfall in Hardanger - Steindalsfossen. Spend a good time walking behind it, let your guide take a postcard photo of you for your memories and shop for the souvenirs.

After having visited all the main waterfalls in the area, continue driving to the fjord where your guide will set up a picnic for you at the shore of the Hardangerfjord. Taste the home-made waffles while marvelling at the fjord and the glacier across it.

Since it is a half day tour, start returning to Bergen, but visit a cute village of Norheimsund first for a stroll around. Take a short cold plunge into the fjord if you are into sports, or simply walk around and enjoy your free time before heading back to Bergen.

Last but not least, stop by a lake at the foot of Gullfjellet, the tallest mountain in the vicinity of Bergen, and admire the peaceful view of the area!
