Discover some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Norwegian fjords on this full-day excursion from Bergen. Along the route, we'll pass through mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and fjords, visiting some of Norway's most iconic sights.
Our first stop will be Skjervsfossen, an impressive waterfall located between Voss and Granvin. Its two large waterfalls reach a height of approximately 150 meters and fall through a narrow gorge surrounded by mountains.
We'll continue our journey to Tvindefossen, another of the region's best-known waterfalls. With a drop of around 110-120 meters, its waters descend down the mountain walls, creating one of the most characteristic natural landscapes of the Voss area.
From there, we'll continue to Gudvangen, located at the end of the spectacular Nærøyfjord. This narrow arm of the fjord is surrounded by mountains that rise almost vertically from the water and, together with the Nærøydalen, is part of the Western Norwegian Fjords area, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In Gudvangen, we'll enjoy a picnic-style breakfast at the foot of the Nærøyfjord, surrounded by an exceptional landscape. It will be a time to relax, quietly enjoy the surroundings, and take in one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Norway.
Afterwards, we'll head to Stegastein, one of the most famous vantage points in the Norwegian fjords. The platform is located approximately 650 meters above the Aurlandsfjord and extends about 30 meters out into the void from the mountain. Its design allows you to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the fjord.
We'll then make a brief stop in Aurland, a small village on the shores of the Aurlandsfjord.
We'll continue to Flåm, one of the best-known destinations in the Norwegian fjords. Located at the end of the Aurlandsfjord and surrounded by towering mountains, this small village has become one of the most visited places in the region. Here you'll have free time to take a stroll or enjoy a relaxing drink.
After our time in Flåm, we'll begin the drop-off journey to Bergen, but one last experience still awaits us.
Our next stop will be Stalheim, from where we can enjoy magnificent views over the Nærøydalen Valley. This area is known for its spectacular mountains and for the historic Stalheimskleiva Road, an old mountain road built in the 19th century and famous for its many sharp turns and steep incline.
We'll take a short walk along the historic Stalheimskleiva, where we can see two impressive waterfalls, one on each side of the road: Sivlefossen and Stalheimsfossen.
Finally, we will resume our journey back to Bergen.
