ETH Zurich Tour: Main Building Center (DE)｜Switzerland

The main building of ETH Zurich is one of the most famous buildings in the city. Designed by Gottfried Semper, the building has stood above the center of Zürich since the 1860s and remains a central location for study and research to this day.

During the walking tour, you will explore the spacious corridors, the striking main hall, and the Semperaula – rooms where lectures are held, discussions are held, and scientific ideas are further developed. You will gain insights into the history of the building as well as its everyday life today.

The tour combines past and present: you will learn more about Albert Einstein's time at the ETH and at the same time experience a building that is still used and shaped daily by students, researchers, and faculty.
