Step off the beaten track and, together with your Viennese guide Melanie, discover a Vienna that breathes stories – an experience that tangibly brings together fascinating personalities, history and the Viennese way of life.
Your journey through time begins at the romantic remains of the old city fortifications on the Mölkerbastei. The magic of old Vienna unfolds, and suddenly we encounter Beethoven, who composed masterpieces of music history here.
Just a few steps further, we will immerse ourselves in the Melkerhöfe – atmospheric oases away from the hustle and bustle.
After that, on the picturesque Freyung, Vienna unfolds as a stage for the nobility – with its string of magnificent palaces and the venerable Schottenkloster as a unique backdrop.
In the arcades of the Ferstel Passage, we are enchanted by the Danube Nymph Fountain and the elegant lifestyle of the 19th century.
Together with Henry II Jasomirgott, the first Duke of Austria, we then stroll to the large and historic Platz Am Hof, where the medieval residence awakens. The imposing church façade tells of historical events before we relive the debut of Mozart, who was only six years old, at the Palais Collalto.
We take romantic paths to the magnificent Graben and Kohlmarkt, where the view of the fairytale dome of the Vienna Hofburg opens up. With Mozart and his wife Constanze in our minds, we walk to the imperial heart of the Habsburg monarchy. From Michaelerplatz, the entrance to the Wiener Hofburg, the last step leads us into the inner courtyard. For a moment, it seems as if Empress Elisabeth – the legendary Sisi – is waving goodbye to us.
Here, the circle of a guided tour closes, in which people, history, and atmosphere merge.
