Begin your tour with a walk through the Mirabell Gardens, where the famous "Do-Re-Mi" scene was filmed. Continue to Makart Square, passing by Hotel Bristol, Mozart's Residence, and the theaters like Landestheater, Marionettes, and Mozarteum.
Cross the river and drive up to the Museum of Modern Art, where you can dance like the kids in "Do-Re-Mi" with a stunning view of the city. Next, walk through the Old Town to see the Festival Hall, the University, and Getreidegasse, where Mozart's Birthplace is located.
Continue to the Residence Square and the Cathedral. End your walk by passing the cemetery and the Monastery of St. Peter. Then, drive past the Abbey Nonnberg towards the Palace Leopoldskron, Fronburg, and Hellbrunn to see all the places used to film the surroundings of the Trapp house.
From here, drive across the hills of the opening and end scene to the Do-Re-Mi field in Werfen. Then, head to lakes like Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, Krottensee, and Mondsee. Visit the Basilica of Mondsee, used for the wedding in the movie, before returning to Salzburg.
