Begin your adventure with a private pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Reykjavik. Sit back and relax in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle as your professional guide prepares you for a full day of Icelandic exploration, combining iconic natural wonders with thrilling experiences.
Your first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Wander through the dramatic rift valley, admire lakes and lava fields, and learn about the site of Iceland’s ancient parliament. Within the park, visit Öxarárfoss, a charming waterfall cascading over volcanic rocks, perfect for a short walk and memorable photos.
Next, explore the geothermal energy of the Geysir area, where steaming vents and bubbling hot springs surround the famous Strokkur geyser, erupting spectacularly every few minutes. Just a short drive away is Gullfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most powerful and iconic waterfalls, with glacial water plunging into a deep canyon in two dramatic stages.
For the highlight of the day, feel the thrill of snowmobiling across Icelandic glaciers. Guided by experienced instructors, take in sweeping views of snowy landscapes and rugged terrain for an unforgettable high-adrenaline adventure.
Finally, visit Kerid Crater, a striking volcanic crater lake with vivid red slopes and a deep blue pool. Walk around the rim or descend closer to the water for photos and to appreciate the unique geological formation. After a full day of adventure, relax on the scenic drive back to Reykjavik, where your guide will drop you off at your hotel or accommodation, concluding a day full of Icelandic wonders and excitement. Snowmobile tickets are not included in the tour price, so you only pay for the riders who join: 40,000 ISK per adult (18+) and 30,000 ISK per child (6-17), including the glacier transfer from Gullfoss, a guide and warm gear. Snowmobiles are shared by two riders, and a snowmobile of your own is 12,000 ISK extra. A valid driver's licence is needed to drive; guests without one ride as passengers. Spots on the glacier are limited and the ride depends on weather and glacier conditions, so we recommend booking ahead: you can book directly with the snowmobile operator, or send us a message through KKday after booking and we will gladly arrange it for you.
