Hi, I'm Darina, a licensed guide at the Terezín Memorial. I'll meet you at your hotel in Prague and we'll travel together by comfortable private car to Terezín. During the one-hour drive, I'll introduce you to the history of this unique place and explain how it became one of the most significant Holocaust memorials in Europe. Unlike many tours that only provide transportation or hand visitors over to another guide upon arrival, I personally guide you throughout the entire visit inside the Terezín Memorial. From the moment we leave Prague until we return, you'll have one dedicated licensed guide by your side. Together we'll visit the Small Fortress, the former Gestapo prison, and explore the Main Fortress, which served as the Jewish Ghetto. We'll also visit the Ghetto Museum, the Magdeburg Barracks, the hidden Jewish Prayer Room, the Crematorium, and the Jewish Cemetery. Because we travel by private car rather than a large coach, we'll also visit two important memorial sites that most group tours cannot include. If you'd like to see as much of Terezín as possible—not just the highlights—this tour offers a more complete and in-depth experience. As a licensed Terezín guide, I'll share not only the historical facts but also the personal stories of those imprisoned here. You'll learn how Terezín functioned as a transit ghetto for Jews deported from across Europe, how it was falsely presented by the Nazi regime as a "model ghetto," and what daily life was really like for its prisoners. Because this is a private tour, we can explore at your own pace. You'll have plenty of time to ask questions, reflect, and gain a deeper understanding of the history in a respectful and personal setting. After our visit, I'll drive you back to your hotel in Prague. Please note: Lunch is not included. The Crematorium is closed on Sundays.
