From Montpellier: Wine Tour & Tastings at Historic Châteaux｜France

Meet your guide at 2:00 pm on the Esplanade de l’Europe in Montpellier and set off on a journey through the vineyards surrounding the city, discovering two beautiful wine estates and their unique heritage.

Your first stop will be Château de Flaugergues, a magnificent 17th-century folie montpelliéraine, one of the elegant summer residences built by Montpellier’s wealthy families. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and vineyards, this historic estate offers a fascinating insight into the region’s architectural and wine-growing heritage. You will discover the history and lush gardens of the château and visit the wine cellar before enjoying a tasting of a selection of their wines.

You will then continue to a second historic wine estate, beautifully situated among vineyards and olive trees. Here, you will discover another side of the Montpellier wine region, learn more about the estate and its winemaking traditions, and taste a selection of its wines in a peaceful and authentic setting.

Throughout the afternoon, your guide will share insights into the local wine culture, the history of the estates and the characteristics of the Languedoc wine region, making this a perfect introduction to the vineyards around Montpellier.

After the visits and tastings, you will head back to Montpellier, arriving at approximately 5:30 pm.
