RYA Powerboat Level 2 – 2-Day Course
No previous experience or not yet confident on board? This 2-day course is designed to give beginners the skills and confidence needed to successfully obtain the RYA Powerboat Level 2 Certificate!
The course takes place at Les Marines de Cogolin, in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. It combines essential theory with practical training on the water. You will learn how to prepare and plan a safe trip, understand applicable French boating regulations, and operate the boat safely and independently.
This is a mainly practical, on-the-water course, with the emphasis on hands-on boat handling and real-life situations.
You will learn and practise pre-departure checks, boat handling at slow and planing speeds, port manoeuvres, coming alongside, leaving a dock, mooring, anchoring, man-overboard recovery, ropework and knots, and general boat handling and safety procedures.
The Boat
Training takes place on a Cap Camarat with a 150 hp engine. It is a comfortable and easy-to-handle boat, well suited to learning and practical training in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Small Groups – Maximum 3 People
There are a maximum of 3 participants on board per course. This keeps the training personal and gives you plenty of time at the helm.
Private courses are also available for individuals, families or groups of friends.
