Lace up your hiking boots and head up to the Schauenburg ruins with their very own atmosphere. Afterwards, you will go deep into one of the most interesting mines in Germany – a welcome refreshment with a constant temperature of 12 degrees in the summer. Now it's time to go up again and climb the Teltschikturm. From here, you can enjoy the view of the Odenwald. As a reward, you've earned a glass of local wine. Finally, we hike from the Strahlenburg through enchanting vineyards and with magnificent views to the end of the tour. Come along!

Your day starts in a very small group with a maximum of 6 participants in a comfortable, air-conditioned van from one of the pick-up points. After a short, moderate climb, we will admire the remains of the Schauenburg with a magnificent view: from here you can see far over the Upper Rhine Plain to the Palatinate Forest and the Northern Black Forest. Today, a striking wooden bridge leads directly into the complex over the preserved moat.

Next, we head to the mine. Here, the Anna-Elisabeth mine awaits you, a silver and vitriol mine that is over 500 years old and is now considered one of the best-preserved visitor mines in the region. You will walk through three levels and learn all about the arduous work of the miners.

After the underground experience, it's now time to head high up. You have to climb 192 steps to reach the platform of the lookout tower. You will be rewarded with a panoramic view: from the Schriesheimer Kopf (529 m above sea level), above sea level), the tower offers a 360-degree view over the Odenwald (including Katzenbuckel, Melibokus), the Rhine plain, and all the way to the Palatinate Mountains and the Black Forest.
As a reward, a glass of local wine awaits you at the foot of the tower.

Our tour takes us on to the Strahlenburg – it is the proud landmark of Schriesheim and offers one of the most beautiful vantage points on the entire Bergstraße. We enjoy this view during a hike through the adjacent vineyards down to the valley. There, we'll let the day come to a smooth end before you're taken back to your starting point.
