Get ready for an exciting off-road journey through the beautiful countryside of Puerto Plata on this guided ATV adventure. Perfect for cruise passengers arriving at Amber Cove or Taino Bay, this experience combines thrilling ATV riding with scenic coastal views, local culture, and authentic Dominican flavors.
After pickup from the cruise port or selected hotel area, be transferred to the ATV base where a short safety briefing and helmet fitting take place. Once everyone is ready, begin your adventure with a ride through rural backroads, muddy trails, small water crossings, and tropical landscapes surrounded by lush greenery and mountain scenery.
Along the route, stop at a traditional countryside location where locals demonstrate cigar rolling techniques and share information about Dominican products and traditions. Enjoy tastings of locally produced organic coffee, rich hot chocolate, and traditional mamajuana rum. There is time to relax, take photos, and enjoy the atmosphere of the Dominican countryside.
The excursion also includes a scenic stop near the Atlantic coastline where you can capture incredible beach and ocean views. Friendly local guides lead the tour from beginning to end, ensuring you feel comfortable and safe throughout the ride. Whether you are looking for adventure, culture, or memorable photo opportunities, this ATV experience offers a fun combination of all three.
This activity is ideal for travelers who want to explore beyond the cruise port and experience a more authentic side of Puerto Plata in a short amount of time. The tour is shared with other travelers and includes roundtrip transportation, ATV equipment, safety gear, and guided assistance during the excursion. Expect a fun and slightly muddy experience, so comfortable clothes and closed shoes are highly recommended.
