From Bukhara/Samarkand: 2-day Aydarkul trip with Yurt stay｜Uzbekistan

Departure from Samarkand or Bukhara.

The drive to the Yurt Camp near Aydarkul Lake takes approximately 4–5 hours (around 250 km) with several stops along the way.

Route: Samarkand – Nurota – Yurt Camp (dinner, traditional nomadic songs by the campfire, dancing, overnight stay in a yurt).

Day 1:

Nurota Complex: Here you can explore the remains of an ancient fortress believed to have been built during the time of Alexander the Great. The complex also includes two 16th-century mosques. In the center, there is a sacred pond filled with fish, which are protected and cannot be caught.

Aydarkul Lake: Enjoy lunch by the lakeshore and, weather permitting, take a swim. (Please note that the Yurt Camp reserves the right to serve lunch at the camp instead of the lakeside if necessary.)

Yurt Camp: While dinner is being prepared, guests can ride camels, admire the desert sunset, and relax. After dinner, gather around the campfire to listen to traditional folk songs performed by local nomads. Later, take time to observe the Milky Way in the clear desert sky.

Overnight in a traditional yurt.

Day 2:

Breakfast followed by free time to walk across the sand dunes and enjoy the quiet desert landscape.

Departure toward Bukhara or Samarkand (approximately 270 km, 4–5 hours by road).
Estimated arrival time: around 18:00.

Navai: Visit a 14th-century caravanserai and a nearby underground water reservoir that collects rainwater and melted snow.

Arrival in Samarkand or Bukhara with drop-off at the hotel, airport, or railway station.
