Day 1: Drive from Entebbe to Kibale National Park and Bigodi Swamp Walk
Begin your safari with an early morning departure from Entebbe for a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, renowned for its rich biodiversity and primate population. Enjoy beautiful views of Uganda's countryside, tea plantations, and rural communities along the way.
Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and relax before heading out for an evening guided walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This community-managed wetland is home to numerous bird species, monkeys, and other wildlife, offering an excellent introduction to the region's natural beauty. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Community Visit
After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the exciting chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale National Park. Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, trek through the forest in search of habituated chimpanzees and observe them in their natural habitat. Besides chimpanzees, you may encounter other primate species, forest birds, and diverse flora.
After lunch and some relaxation at the lodge, enjoy an evening community visit to nearby villages where you will learn about local traditions, culture, and daily life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to Entebbe with Equator Stop
After breakfast, check out and begin the journey back to Entebbe. En route, stop at the famous Uganda Equator for lunch, photographs, and an opportunity to stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres at the same time. Browse local craft shops and enjoy the unique equator demonstrations before continuing your drive. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your memorable Kibale National Park safari.
