Stop for refreshments and photo opportunities before arriving at your lodge in the early afternoon. After check-in and a brief rest, embark on your first afternoon game drive across the park’s savannah and acacia woodlands. Spot impalas, zebras, buffaloes, and if lucky, elands and giraffes, while your experienced guide shares insights about the park’s wildlife, birds, and ecosystem. Capture stunning sunset views over the park, then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight, preparing for a full day of wildlife exploration tomorrow
Day 2: Walking Safari - Boat cruise - evening game drive
After an early breakfast at your lodge in Lake Mburo National Park, set out on a thrilling walking safari with an armed ranger. Experience the savannah up close as you track zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and other wildlife on foot, learning about animal behavior, tracks, and the ecosystem. The walk provides an intimate encounter with nature that game drives cannot match.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, gliding past hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds while taking in the scenic lakeshore views. This is a perfect opportunity for birdwatchers and photographers.
Later, embark on an evening game drive to spot nocturnal wildlife and catch the stunning sunset over the savannah. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay, reflecting on a day filled with up-close wildlife encounters and breathtaking landscapes.
Day 2: walking safari, and Experience Ankole cattle and later transfer to kampala
