The journey will begin from Qatar's east coast (Doha) to the west coast, passing by some important and interesting sites such as Qatar Foundation Education City, a camel race track, and a vast open desert. After around 45 minutes of driving, you will arrive at a site that resembles the planet Mars. • Zekreet village and fort are the first sites to visit, including the remnants of a small 18th-century fort by the beach. Drive deep into the desert to the sculpture. • Richard Serra's permanent installation in Zekreet, East-West/West-East, has become a famous landmark in Qatar. The installation comprises four towering steel sculptures in the middle of the desert. After taking some pictures, it is time to see what this place is hiding.
