5-Day Oman Adventure: Culture, History & Scenic Beauty
Day 1: Arrival & Omani Welcome in Izki
Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, meet your guide and enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Cloudy Cloud Farm Resort in Izki. A traditional Omani welcome with coffee, Halwa, and dates awaits. After check-in, explore the farm, gardens, and pool or join a guided tour.
In the evening, savor an authentic Omani dinner in a traditional Majlis setting, experiencing the warm hospitality and flavors of Oman.
Day 2: Nizwa’s Heritage & Manah’s Timeless Charm
Start your day at Nizwa Souq, famous for silver jewelry, pottery, and handicrafts. If visiting on a Friday, witness the lively cattle auction. Explore the 17th-century Nizwa Fort before heading to Al Aqur Village, known for its date palms and falaj irrigation system.
After an optional lunch, visit the Oman Across Ages Museum, where cutting-edge exhibits bring Oman’s history to life. End the day at Harat Al Bilaad in Manah, an ancient fortified settlement with watchtowers, historic mosques, and narrow alleys.
Day 3: Jabal Akhdar & Birkat Al Mouz Exploration
Head to Jabal Akhdar (The Green Mountain) and take in the breathtaking views from Diana’s Point. Explore terraced farms and rose gardens, then visit the abandoned village of Wadi Bani Habib for a glimpse into the past.
After lunch (optional), descend to Birkat Al Mouz, a village with UNESCO-listed falaj irrigation channels and historic ruins. Enjoy a leisurely walk through date plantations before returning to Izki for visits to Harat Al Yamen, Jarnan Cave, Imti Village, and Falaj Al Malki, an ancient water channel.
Day 4: Forts, Villages & Oman’s Living History
Begin in Al Hamra, home to 400-year-old mudbrick houses. At Bait Al Safah, witness traditional Omani life through hands-on cultural demonstrations. Continue to Misfat Al Abriyeen, a mountain village with lush terraces and a falaj system.
After lunch (optional), explore Jabreen Fort, known for its intricate carvings and murals, then visit Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with towering sand-colored walls. Time permitting, stop at Bahla Souq, famous for pottery and local handicrafts.
Day 5: Muscat City Tour & Departure
Return to Muscat and begin your tour at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, known for its stunning chandelier and massive hand-woven carpet. Continue to the Royal Opera House before browsing Mutrah Souq, a lively marketplace filled with spices, silver, and textiles.
Take a scenic walk along Mutrah Corniche, then visit Al Alam Palace, flanked by Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts. End your journey at Bait Al Zubair Museum, which showcases Oman’s rich cultural heritage.
