Baku: Shamakhi and Gabala Trip｜Azerbaijan

Next, the trip continues to Shamakhi, an ancient city that once served as the capital of the Shirvanshahs. Here, travelers visit the Juma Mosque, built in 743 AD, which stands as one of the oldest and most beautiful mosques in the Caucasus, playing a key role in the region's history and culture.

In Ismailly we will visit the Zernava Bridge - a scenic suspension bridge stretching across a deep mountain gorge. Surrounded by forests and dramatic landscapes, it offers stunning panoramic views and has become a popular spot for travelers seeking nature, adventure, and unique photo opportunities.

Yeddi Gozel Waterfall (Seven Beauties) is a scenic seven-tiered waterfall located near Vandam village in Gabala, Azerbaijan, surrounded by lush mountains and forests. It is popular for its refreshing, steep hiking trails to the upper levels, tea stalls, and scenic, photogenic, and relatively cold natural environment

We then continue to the scenic region of Ismayilli, where the stunning nature will leave you truly delighted. Here, we’ll stop at a local restaurant for lunch, which includes:
a choice of chicken or lentil soup, plov (pilaf), an assortment of kebabs (lyulya, chicken, lamb), Choban salad (with fresh vegetables), cheese, adjika (spicy paste), soft drinks, and tea.

After a relaxing break surrounded by greenery and blooming meadows, we head to the next gem — Gabala, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Azerbaijan” thanks to its breathtaking natural beauty. Historically, Gabala was the capital of ancient Caucasian Albania.


The adventure continues with a Tufandag cable car ride. From high above, visitors take in panoramic views of the Sleeping Beauty Mountain and the surrounding alpine landscape, making for an unforgettable experience.

The final stop is Lake Nohur, a peaceful mountain lake with crystal-clear waters. Guests can take a leisurely walk along the shore, enjoy the fresh air, and admire the reflections of the surrounding mountains on the water’s surface.

This tour blends history, culture, and nature, creating a memorable journey through some of Azerbaijan’s most stunning and historically rich regions.

This tour includes 6 hours of free time at the resort, giving you the freedom to relax, explore, enjoy cable cars and activities, and dine at a local restaurant offering national and European cuisine, with shisha available if desired.
