- The tour starts after picking up the guests from the hotel
- We head to the Gobustan area which leads to the Mud Volcanoes. Azerbaijan has the most mud volcanoes of any country, spread broadly across the country. 350 of the 700 volcanoes of the world are in the Azerbaijani Republic.[1] Local people call them “yanardagh” (burning mountain), “pilpila” (terrace), “gaynacha” (boiling water) and “bozdag” (grey mountain).
- After Mud Volcanoes we go to the Gobustan Museum, and after spending some time there we go to the Gobustan Rock Art (open-air museum).
Gobustan State Historical and Cultural Reserve located west of the settlement of Gobustan, about 40 miles (64 km) southwest of the center of Baku. It was established in 1966, when the area was declared a national historical landmark of Azerbaijan in an attempt to preserve the prehistoric rock carvings, mud volcanoes, and musical stones in the region.
- On the way back from the Gobustan area we will have a stop in Bibiheybat Mosque.
