Begin your day with a pickup from your accommodation and drive toward Isla Escondida, a unique and privileged beach where elephant seals can be seen resting along the coast at certain times of the year. Spend about 1 hour at the beach observing the elephant seals in their natural environment.
Afterward, continue your journey to Punta Tombo, located about 1 hour further south. Once you arrive at the reserve, have around 2 hours to explore the penguin colony. The site features a 3-kilometer return trail where you can walk side-by-side with the penguins.
Please note that the penguin season runs from September to April, when hundreds of thousands of birds arrive to begin their breeding cycle. You will also have free time to enjoy lunch during the day. Finally, drive back to Puerto Madryn, arriving in the afternoon.
