The adventure begins with a transfer from your accommodation in El Calafate. Aboard a comfortable vehicle, we'll set off along the legendary National Route 40, crossing the vastness of the Patagonian steppe while enjoying views of Argentine Lake and the mountains that dominate the horizon. Our first stop will be the historic Parador La Leona, a place steeped in history where you can take a break before continuing the tour. From there, we'll continue along the shores of stunning Lake Viedma, whose deep turquoise waters accompany much of the route and offer some of the most spectacular views in southern Argentina. Upon reaching Bahía Túnel, we'll board a boat to sail across Lake Viedma, approaching one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the region: the Viedma Glacier, the largest glacier in mainland Argentina. During the cruise, you'll be able to see its huge ice walls, the floating icebergs, and the immensity of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field up close — a unique experience for nature and photography lovers. After the boat trip, we'll continue to El Chaltén, a charming mountain village located at the foot of the Fitz Roy Massif.
