The empanadas are one of the most typical dishes of the country, consisting of a baked or fried dough filled with meat, chicken, ham and cheese (these being the most traditional), among others.
Pizza was introduced by Italian immigrants and is the star of the street. The porteño version is known for its abundant amount of mozzarella cheese, melted and gratinated during cooking, high and thick dough with a soft and spongy texture and a generous amount of tomato sauce.
This walking tour includes 2 stops at these traditional pizzeiras to taste these famous dishes and to finish with an ice cream or coffee.
