Day 1: Transfer to Akagera & Game Drive
Begin your journey with an early morning departure to Akagera National Park, located in eastern Rwanda along the border with Tanzania. Enjoy scenic countryside views as you drive through rolling hills and rural landscapes.
Upon arrival, embark on a thrilling game drive across the savannah plains. Keep an eye out for the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos—as well as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and abundant birdlife. The park’s lakes and wetlands add to the beauty and wildlife diversity.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, depart Akagera and begin a scenic cross-country drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park in southwestern Rwanda. This long but rewarding journey offers breathtaking views of Rwanda’s famous “Land of a Thousand Hills,” passing tea plantations, local villages, and lush countryside.
Arrive in Nyungwe in the evening and check in at your lodge. Relax and enjoy the cool forest atmosphere as you prepare for the next day’s adventure. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk – Departure
Start early with a guided chimpanzee tracking experience in Nyungwe Forest. Trek through dense rainforest in search of chimpanzees and other primates, while enjoying birdlife and unique flora along the way.
Later, experience the famous canopy walk, a suspended bridge high above the forest floor, offering spectacular views of the rainforest canopy and surrounding landscapes.
After lunch, begin your return journey, marking the end of your 3-day Akagera & Nyungwe safari filled with wildlife, adventure, and unforgettable scenery.
