This comprehensive tour showcases Rwanda’s "land of a thousand hills" through its vibrant art
scenes, historical palaces, and lush biodiversity. From the markets of Kigali to the suspension
bridges above Nyungwe Forest and the hot springs of Rubavu, you will experience the heart of
East African hospitality and natural beauty.
Day 1: Cultural Landmarks of Kigali
Kigali Genocide Memorial: Start with a moving visit to understand Rwanda's path to
reconciliation.
Rwanda Art Museum & Inema Art Gallery: Explore contemporary African art and local
creativity.
Kimironko Market: End the day at this colorful market for local shopping and a sensory
experience.
Day 2: Nyamirambo Heritage & Afternoon Adventure
Nyamirambo Women’s Center: Spend your morning in Kigali’s oldest neighborhood, visiting
this community center for unique local crafts.
Street Food Experience: Sample authentic Nyamirambo snacks for lunch.
Fazenda Sengha: Head to Mount Kigali for an afternoon of horseback riding, archery, and
ziplining overlooking the city.
Day 3: Heritage Trail to the South West
King’s Palace Museum (Nyanza): A stopover to see the traditional royal residence and long
horned Inyambo cattle.
Ethnographic Museum (Huye): Visit one of Africa's finest ethnographic collections before
continuing to Nyungwe.
Check-in: Settle into a hotel near Nyungwe National Park
Day 4: Into the Nyungwe Rainforest
Canopy Walkway: Experience Africa's highest suspension bridge, hanging 70 meters above the
forest floor.
Nyungwe Zipline: Jump through the trees on one of the longest ziplines in Africa (nearly 2km).
Kamiranzovu Waterfall: Hike the 6km moderate trail through the park’s largest wetland to reach
the roaring falls.
Transfer: Return to Kigali for the evening.
Day 5: Journey to Lake Kivu
Scenic Drive: A 4-hour drive to Rubavu (Gisenyi) starting around 9:00 AM.
Relaxation: Check in and spend the afternoon at the sandy beaches of Lake Kivu.
Day 6: Hot Springs & Lake Adventures
Nyamyumba Hot Springs: Visit the natural therapeutic springs in the morning.
Lake Kivu Boat Ride: Spend the afternoon swimming and boat riding, exploring the shoreline
and nearby islands.
Day 7: Coffee/Tea Heritage & Return
Wake up in the morning and relax a bit at lake shore, you can go for boat riding, from there
progress to Pfunda Experience: On the drive back to Kigali, stop at the Pfunda Tea Factory (the
oldest in Rwanda) to see the "crop to cup" process.
Departure: Complete your transfer back to Kigali for your final evening.
