Departure from Belgrade from Slavija Square and journey to Novi Sad. The tour begins in the city center of Novi Sad, the capital of the northern Serbian region of Vojvodina. A multicultural city where Serbian, Hungarian, Slovak, and Romanian communities coexist in perfect harmony. Visit the city's iconic monuments such as the Catholic Church of the Name of Mary, the National Theater, the Orthodox Cathedral dedicated to St. George, the Episcopal Palace, and the "Matica Srpska" cultural institution. Then head to the other side of the Danube, to Petrovaradin on the outskirts of Novi Sad. This is home to one of the largest fortresses on the Danube, built on the site of an old medieval fortress by the Austrians from the late 17th century to the late 18th century to protect themselves from attacks by the Ottoman Empire. After this visit, we will head to the small town of Sremski Karlovci, an architectural gem that houses the Faculty of Theology, the first Serbian high school, and the monumental church dedicated to Saint Nicholas. This village is also known for its wine producers, more than thirty of whom are located here. The indigenous wine of this region is Bermet, a dessert wine that can be white or red. Finally, head to Fruska Gora National Park, also known as the Holy Mountain, where there are more than 15 Orthodox monasteries, including the Krusedol Monastery, the Serbian Pantheon where great figures from Serbian history are buried, the Grgeteg Monastery, and the Mala Remeta or Vrdnik Monastery.
