Katima Mulilo: Sunset Zambezi River Boat Safari｜Namibia

Spend a golden-hour afternoon on the mighty Zambezi River, right where Namibia's Zambezi Region meets the water that has shaped this corner of Africa for millennia. Departing from Katima Mulilo, you'll board a safari boat with a certified local guide and set out along the river as the light turns gold.

The Zambezi is home to pods of hippos, resident Nile crocodiles, and prolific birdlife — the region has recorded over 600 bird species, and African fish eagles are a near-guaranteed sighting as they hunt along the banks. Your guide will point out wildlife and share knowledge of the river ecosystem as you cruise quietly past floodplains and river islands.

Cold drinks are served on board, and the cruise builds toward a spectacular Zambezi sunset — one of the most photographed moments in the region.
