Your journey to the fascinating north of Martinique begins right at the agreed meeting point near the port, where I will warmly welcome you. The drive along the road towards Morne Rouge is an experience in itself: the dense rainforest stretches out on either side, tropical plants line the way, and the diversity of nature is on display in vibrant colors. Here, you immediately sense how special this region is.
We'll stop in the middle of the rainforest to take some time to pause and reflect. The silence, broken only by the rustling of leaves and the calls of exotic birds, creates a unique atmosphere. This is the perfect moment to take a deep breath, let nature work its magic on you, and maybe also take a few extraordinary photos.
From there, you'll continue on to a small waterfall hidden in the greenery. The fresh water flowing over the rocks makes this place a true oasis. After that, our route takes us to the traditional Depaz Distillery, where you will gain fascinating insights into the production of the famous rum – a piece of Martinique's authentic cultural history.
Another highlight awaits you in St. Pierre, once known as the "Paris of the Caribbean". Today, impressive ruins and remnants bear witness to the massive volcanic eruption of 1902. As you stroll through the city, you can discover the traces of this moving history and at the same time let yourself be carried away by the colorful hustle and bustle of the local market. Here you will find fresh produce, scents, colors, and the real life of the islanders.
To round things off, we'll make ourselves comfortable at Le Carbet Beach. With your feet in the sand, the sound of the waves in your ears, and a small rum sample in your hand, this eventful morning will come to a relaxed end. You'll have time to reflect on the experiences and enjoy the special atmosphere of this place.
The best thing about this tour: It can be customized. Depending on your wishes and interests, we can flexibly adapt the itinerary so that your excursion is perfectly tailored to you.
