Chiang Rai: Slow Boat to Luang Prabang with Hotel Transfer｜Thailand

05.00-05.40 am. Start your journey with a pickup from your hotel in Chiang Rai. Travel to the border town of Chiang Khong, where you’ll cross into Laos.

Meet the Local Guide and get Free breakfast (Sandwich and Drink for free!) at the shop. After that go to the slow boat pier. Board the boat and set off on a scenic 2-day journey to Luang Prabang.

First day, Stay in Pakbang city for 1 night (Exclude accomodation)


Second day, continue to Luangprabang city for 7 hours.
Relax as you cruise along the Mekong River, taking in the stunning landscapes and traditional villages along the way.

Arrive in Luang Prabang on the next day, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved architecture and serene atmosphere.

****Please be informed for the Visa**** that the immigration office in Laos is quite strict about the USD currency bank notes. The money bills have to be in pristine (perfect) condition and may be rejected if they appear worn.

You may also pay using Thai Baht, but it is more expensive due to conversion rates from Baht to dollar (It is about 2000Baht).
