Depart from Taiyuan and explore two of Shanxi’s most iconic cultural landmarks in one day. This journey combines the ancient architecture of Jinci Temple with the well-preserved historic charm of Pingyao Ancient City, offering an immersive experience of Shanxi’s history, traditions, and heritage.

Begin with a visit to Jinci Temple, one of Shanxi’s most important historical sites. Explore its traditional architecture, including the famous Hall of the Holy Mother, Xian Hall, Fish Pond Flying Bridge, and Never Aging Spring, while discovering the stories and cultural heritage behind this ancient complex.

Continue to Pingyao Ancient City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkably preserved Ming and Qing dynasty streets and buildings. Stroll through the historic lanes, explore landmarks such as the Ancient City Wall, Ming-Qing Street, Rishengchang Exchange House, Pingyao County Government Office, and City God Temple, and experience the legacy of Shanxi’s famous merchant culture.

Lunch can be arranged freely according to your preference (at your own expense). After exploring the ancient city, return to Taiyuan and conclude your cultural journey.

The driver will provide assistance using a translation app during the tour.
