Morning: Pandas in the Morning Light

Midday: A Taste of Sichuan

Afternoon: The Birthplace of Taoism

Arrive at Mount Qingcheng, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most sacred Taoist mountains in China. This is where Zhang Daoling founded the Way of the Celestial Masters nearly 2,000 years ago, and where Taoist sages have meditated among misty peaks ever since.

Board the cable car—already included in your tour—and glide above the dense forest canopy to the mountain's upper reaches. From here, your guide leads you along ancient stone paths through misty woods, past weathered Taoist temples where incense drifts through quiet courtyards.

Visit Shangqing Palace, the highest temple on the mountain at 1,600 meters. Your guide shares the legends of Taoist sages who sought immortality here and explains the philosophy of harmony between humans and nature that was born among these very peaks.

Pause at Yuecheng Lake, where emerald waters mirror the surrounding mountains. Explore Tianshi Cave, the grotto where Zhang Daoling is said to have founded the first Taoist community.
