We'll meet at the indicated time at the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel. After introductions, we'll head through the city's oldest streets and arrive at the Yuyuan Garden, which covers an area of 20,000 square meters. Ready to learn about the Ming and Qing dynasties?
We'll stroll along the winding paths, discovering pavilions and small hills. We'll also have the chance to cross the bridges and admire the lotus ponds that fill the Yuyuan Garden. Afterwards, we'll tour the Yuyuan Bazaar. In its many shops, we'll find the most typical products of Shanghai.
The second destination of the guided visit of Shanghai will be the Jade Buddha Temple, one of the city's most iconic temples. We'll explore its rooms, such as the Great Hall, the Chamber of the Four Heavenly Kings, and the Jade Buddha statue. There, we'll be able to admire several Buddha statues made of jade, gold, and precious stones.
We'll go to a local restaurant to enjoy a lunch consisting of a soft drink and traditional dishes to share. Then we'll head to the Bund, one of the busiest areas, where we'll enjoy unique views of the skyscrapers of Pudong, the Wall Street of the East!
Finally, we'll take a walk through the Lujiazui financial district, also famous for its numerous skyscrapers, and arrive at the Shanghai Tower, an icon of the city!
There, we'll say goodbye and bring the activity to a close about eight hours later.
