    With the modern cable car, you ride up from Fiesch to the car-free Fiescheralp. The Fiescheralp is situated at 2,212 meters above sea level and serves as an ideal starting point for hikes and excursions.

    To reach the Eggishorn viewpoint, you take the cable car from Fiescheralp. The cable car takes you up to the Eggishorn at 2,869 meters above sea level – from there, you get one of the best views of the Great Aletsch Glacier and the surrounding high mountains.

    • + Check the timetables for your travel day on the Aletscharena website before you go and make sure the lifts you want to use are running. They alternate between maintenance periods. You can’t cancel the activity afterwards if you couldn’t use it because of maintenance.
