Explore the southeastern part of Adelaide's CBD on a guided walking tour. Discover the history of the wealthy residents who lived in the mansions of East and South Terraces and the middle class who resided in Victorian villas on Halifax and Gilles Streets.

Learn about the former residents and how they made their fortunes. Hear stories about an agricultural machinery pioneer, wealthy pastoralists, shopkeepers, an early music promoter, mail coach and river steamboat entrepreneurs, politicians, scientists, and many others.

As you wind your way through the leafy streets, almost forget you are still within the city confines.
