06:45 AM | Departure to Cusco: The bus departs from Counter C-5 at the bus station.

Stops and Visits Along the Route of the Sun (Ruta del Sol)

09:30 AM | Pukará and the Lithic Museum - 40 min
Our first stop is Pukará, where you’ll visit the Lithic Museum with your guide. You’ll see sculptures, monoliths, and archaeological pieces linked to the Pukará culture one of the oldest societies in the Altiplano and gain a better understanding of the area’s history before the Inca period.

11:00 AM | La Raya Pass - 10 min
We’ll arrive at La Raya Pass, located at 4,335 m (14,222 ft) above sea level, the highest point on the route between Puno and Cusco. Here, you’ll have time to step off the bus, take in the mountain scenery, and enjoy panoramic views of the high-Andean landscape and snow-capped peaks.

12:50 PM | Buffet Lunch in Marangani - 50 min
We’ll stop in Marangani for a buffet lunch at a local tourist restaurant. You can choose from a variety of traditional and international dishes and use this time to relax and recharge before the afternoon visits.

01:50 PM | Raqchi and the Temple of Wiracocha - 50 min.
In Raqchi, you’ll visit one of the most important Inca archaeological complexes along the Route of the Sun. With your guide, you’ll explore the Temple of Wiracocha and surrounding structures, taking a closer look at its massive walls and the distinctive combination of stone and adobe used in its construction.

03:15 PM | Andahuaylillas - 35 min
The final cultural stop of the day is Andahuaylillas, a traditional town south of Cusco. We’ll visit the Church of San Pedro Apóstol, widely known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas” for its richly decorated interior, gold-leaf altars, and colonial murals. Your guide will highlight some of its most notable features before the final stretch of the journey.
