Next, head to Ithaca, the legendary island of Odysseus. Rich in history and mythology, Ithaca also offers beautiful swimming areas and coastal scenery. Swim and snorkel in the clear Ionian waters of Afales and Frikes. Continue to Kioni, one of Ithaca's most beautiful villages, where you can stop for lunch in a calm seaside setting.
After Ithaca, cruise to Atokos, a small uninhabited Ionian island often referred to as Pig Island due to the occasional presence of wild boars. Atokos is known for its turquoise water, simple untouched landscape, and peaceful swimming atmosphere.
On the return journey, stop at Meganisi for photos at Papanikolis Cave, before passing by Scorpios, the famous private island of Aristotle Onassis. The route closes with one of the most recognizable images of the Ionian: green islands, blue water, and a sense of moving through real Greek maritime history.
