Its maze-like alleys and hidden courtyards still follow their original defensive design. From clifftop viewpoints, the island’s rugged coastline stretches endlessly below. Then follow the ancient "Towards the Miraculous Saint" route, descending towards the sea. The trail passes through fishing villages, quiet beaches, and crystal-clear waters. Midway, the path leads into Faros, a charming harbor village. Here, daily island life unfolds around small fishing boats and waterfront cafés. Step across a rocky islet to the island’s spiritual heart, the Panagia Chrysopigi Monastery. How did the sea itself shape the legend behind its name? The tour concludes beside the monastery’s turquoise waters, a perfect place to rest, reflect, and enjoy a refreshing swim (conditions permitting).
