Welcome to Thread Jar, a contemporary embroidery studio in the heart of Heraklion! I am Lila, the owner and creative behind Thread Jar and my goal is to spread the joy of embroidery around the world!
In this workshop, and with my constant support, you will create a beautiful embroidery hoop that you can take back home as a wall hanging souvenir to remind you of your time in the island of Crete.
You will explore one of the fundamental embroidery stitches, the cross stitch, used in many countries' traditional embroidery, as well as in Greece. The design you will create is inspired by none other than the greek summer :)
By choosing this embroidery workshop, you will not only get to try the traditional embroidery of Greece, but also feel the relaxation and peace of mind that this activity offers, beyond the process of creation.
