Embark on a full-day trip from Athens to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Explore the ancient ruins of the Temple of Zeus and the original Olympic stadium. Stop for a photo opportunity at the Corinth Canal and enjoy a traditional lunch at a local taverna(optional).

After being picked up from your hotel in Athens, head south towards the Peloponnese peninsula. Cross the Corinth Canal and stop for a photo opportunity. Continue driving south until you reach Olympia.

Discover the archaeological site of Olympia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the studio of Phidias, one of the most famous architects of ancient Greece, the ruins of the Temple of Zeus, the gymnasium where athletes used to train before the big event, and the Temple of Hera.

Explore the Archaeological Museum of Olympia, which houses all the important artifacts and relics that were found on the archaeological site, including large parts of the Temple of Zeus which are in tact to this day.

After your visit, enjoy a traditional lunch (optional) at a local taverna before returning to Athens. A culinary experience can be a universal language, bringing people together regardless of their native language. Food has a way of transcending language barriers and creating a shared experience.
